50 meters inside your border, meh... It's not like a suitcase nuke was detonated in your biggest city.
"Turkish army immediately fired back, the governor said".
Better have somebody with some brains get on the horn to that local platoon commander and tell him to chillax and see what develops first.

I don't understand. Who did they fire back at? Do these middle-eastern countries just fire artillery into the sky all willy-nilly or something?

@omegaic Mortar was shelled from Syria, so Turkey shelled back Syrian military points.

@ToyCar How do you know this "fact", can't be it a provocation of FSA? A False Flag operation? So what do you say about FSA camps in Turkey, giving them weapons and money? Is not it being a part of war? Is not it an obvious intervention in Syria?

@rpgmw3 Turkey killed 34 soldiers in Syria after the Syrian mortar hit Turkey and killed 2 women and 3 kids a few days earlier.

@rpgmw3
Or they killed some rebels who fired that mortar as false flag operation. Notice that Turkey never blamed the Syrian Army directly. They only blamed fire from Syrian territory.
FireFinder systems are a wonderful tool in this conflict.

we should be aware that it might also be the FSA. the people who we opened our country as refugees. Esad would not attack turkey. He can not even win over a rebellion in his country. why would he want Turkey to enter Syria?
There are some other players in the game where they want to shape the middle east. I hope this bloodshed finishes some how and an order established. As Turkey we do not want war, yet some thing or somebody wants to drag us into a war.
This is not our war. As Turks we have More..

@Huneybi Celebi But we must protect our people. It's an obligation by Turkey to protect Turkish lives. I am not saying we should enter Syria, but whomever fires at us must get it 20 times worst.

@turkzil If you really want to protect your people, than shut down FSA camps, take the guard of the borders. It will be enough.

We have been bombing the fuckers for days now. Our troops are built up on the border and our naval presence has increased in the Mediteranean sea with live munitions. It's not our war to fight, we never asked for it. But whomever thinks they can step on Turkey without paying is DEAD WRONG.

@turkzil are you sure that we never asked for it? We founded FSA camps, give them weapons, bombs for killing civilians. We trained them, we give them money, we give them information, we let them to attack civilian government building from our soil. And you are claiming that we are innocent? I am full stand with the SAA at least they are defending their homeland, not following the orders of a government who is controlled by USA. So talk on behalf of you, not of Turkish people.

This is a clear provocation that is organized by FSA. Turkey has already been the part of the conspricy against its peacefull neighbour. This for protecting FSA, and prevent SAA to push them back to the Turkish soil. Turkey has been giving weapons, bombs, mortars, manpads etc. to these terrorist for destablizing Syria but they can't. Everyone who is saying that Syria asked for it, or Turkey have to protect its citizens are liars or ignorants.

Gleiwitz incident. Turkey said the SAA had removed tanks and equippment 10 km away from the border before. Thus not likely it was the SAA. FSA has no military success. They only provide terror in AlQaeda-style and need the Turkish army to support them directly.
