Obama did not call the attack an act of terror for two weeks. What he said in the Rose Garden the day after was a generic statement about how this country will not tolerate acts of terrorism, but then Obama went on to call the attack a spontaneous demonstration and not a planned terrorist attack.

      Ummm...yes, did you actually read this? Obama makes one mention of "acts of terror" when talking about commemorating the anniversary of 9/11. He stops short of calling this a terrorist attack. He decidedly does not call this a planned, coordinated terrorist attack. Obama then spent the next two weeks denying that it was terrorism, instead blaming it on some video trailer than had been online for months already by that time.
