    • Anti-terror laws were used by PM Brown to block all Icelandic assets in the UK in retaliation to Iceland declaring a bank bankrupt - a bank in which gazillions of british government pounds were deposited.
      It's just a law technicality, Brown wasn't meaning that the Icelanders were terrorists, he just wants his money back...

      That's a bad country to have money invested. So what they are doing is following bankruptsy procedures simiar to that of a business declairing bankruptsy.

      Freeze assets.
      Investigation.
      I assume then liquidation or plan to recoup funds?

      meh. The civilians are not terrorists. Though obviously money has been handled carelessly somewhere.
