Both sides have done regrettable things.
Israel promised the Palistinians they would have homes to come back to after the new government was formed in the 40's, but the Palistinians got screwed becasue they sided with the Muslims when Israel's govt. was being consolidated.
Now, the Palistinians sponsor terrorism against Israel in retaliation and the sides have been at war ever since.

The US does not give a cent to the Palestinians but must have given a trillion dollars since 1948 to the Israelis and that is not including all the money that Germany and other countries have given in guilty conscience money.
