Pyrotecnico is a fireworks company which does major displays..this video gives you an view off the barge where the technicians are and fireworks discharged..the effects are great..fireworks seen from underneath and just what it takes to set off a display..location is unknown in this video but it was a July 4th display..20 minute video but worth the time to those interested

Great video! Is each tube just shooting one? How large are those tubes?
We use 2,3 and 4 in. shells in my backyard show. Those are probably 6". And if each tube is only loaded with one shell....that's a lot of tubes necessary for a show like that!

What's all the metallic crap everywhere around the mortars? o.O

@Sputters I would think it's ash debris from the fireworks or the casings of the mortars after they've been fired

@Wyseguy67 It's foil they put over the tops so no spray sparks ignite the other fireworks.

The debris laying around is what's left of the lift charge cup after the shell is fired. I was lucky enough to get to work with a local, but well known pyro crew on a shoot outside Philly. It took 3 of us, 6 hours to set up for a 15 minute shoot. We had 2 and 3 inchers for fill, and 4,5, and 6 inch shells for most of the show. The finale was a huge barrage of 2 and 3 inch tubes. We didn't light them electronically, we used a road flare. It's pretty bad-ass leaning in to touch off a 6 inch More..
