Wireless Electricity!
Eric Giler wants to untangle our wired lives with cable-free electric power. Here, he covers what this sci-fi tech offers, and demos MIT’s breakthrough version, WiTricity — a near-to-market invention that may soon recharge your cell phone, car, pacemaker.(Recorded at TEDGlobal 2009, July 2009 in Oxford, UK.
The Original Video is 10:10 but i have uploaded an abridge version which is about 4:15. Hope you enjoy it as much as i did.
Thanks to Martyr_Machine for giving me the idea to upload this and share it.

Two inductors (coils) air-coupled (no ferrite) will enable transfer of electromagnetic energy.
500 Watts of energy INPUT to the transmitter should neatly transmit about 250 Watts and about 60 Watts of energy will be received if the receiving coil is very close (a few metres) and is tightly tuned to the transmitting coil (resonant circuits).
Delightful - how wonderful. Useful consumption (the light bulb) is about 60 Watts, but TOTAL consumption for all the equipment is about 500 Watts.

Hey massive magnetic fields for all!
Did they consider the brain tumor potential, and all of the billboard lawyers that will follow in tow, in the sleaze of daytime TV?

Man kind will be stuck in this shit hole of slow progression if we allow the banksters to rule our lives. Think about it, if we three money to the left and went straight ahead with tackling space travel and don't let money be an obstacle, within 10 years we could do it versus 300 years with money in the way. Tesla's invention would have made life in his time much more futuristic but instead the greedy banksters wanted the project shut down. Think of what we might have had today had tesla's progr More..

recently read a fabulous sci-fi-ish interpretation of what the pyramids of giza (not the others) really were. they were generators. and the top of the pyramid (pyramidion) was completely gold (now missing).
it had something to do with the impedence of ground water with a small charge from gold and some other device. the other device could have theoretically been some sort of new elemental compound (some theorized that it was in the arc of the covenant) that "fell from the sky" (m More..

Oh yeah, great, high energy magnetic fields oscillating all around us. We did not have enough with microwaves. Let's add to the soup with really energetic fields. Notice how he gets out of breath just lifting a small TV set for 10 seconds. Typical WiFi nerd. Go for a jog, dude. We can live without having everything WiFi.

This one is never going commercial anytime in the near future, because enviromental groups will be raising all hell over electromagnetic field pollution, and it would only take one bad case of an individual showcasing a bodily harm on him due to the use of electromagnetically charged devices, to put this initiative back on the shelf,

I bought a NuWave PIC induction cooker recently...it uses magnetic induction to very quickly and very precisely cook food in a pot, skillet, grill or pan. It weighs 11 lbs, plugs into 110v outlet, and boils water a lot faster than a 220v range.
The cool part? Only the metal pot pan or grill gets hot. The top surface stays cool, if you remove the pan...yep, heating food via magnetiic induction field..
Gotta love science
