French senator Mélenchon about Tibet/China (2008)
Context : the Olympics of Beijing and Tibet, the interview takes place in 2008.
A video I found on the internet, not mine, but rather interesting since it was an unpopular stance to take on the issue. J.L. Mélenchon, ex-senator and ex-minister is currently candidate for the 2012 French presidential election.
In relation to the video, you should know that he is extremely secular and opposes the religious government of Iran (mollahs) as well as any interference of religion within French schools, for instance. Hearing a politician saying what he really actually thinks is really relieving, no matter your opinion on the issue.
