I'm posting this to show how I imagined my silver brazing of steel would work out. My miserable failure this weekend is far too embarrassing to upload.

I guess in future I'll buy the proper rods for steel rather than rely on hardware store rods meant for copper brazing and some powdered borax flux.

My only consolation is my Bernzomatic with mapp gas was O.K. and got the work to cherry red
However, maybe I'll buy one of those big propane torches like in this video. It should be cheaper to run.
