TEHRAN — Iran fired two short-range missiles as it began war games on Sunday, the state-owned Arabic language Al-Alam television channel reported.
It said the missiles fired were of the Tondar and Fateh 110 type.
A Revolutionary Guards Corps commander said Sunday Iran will test-fire on Monday its long-range Shahab 3 missile as part of continuing missile manoeuvres.
"Tomorrow we will test the long-range Shahab missile," Hossein Salami said, referring to the Shahab 3.
He also said, without elaborating, that the Guards tested a "multiple missile launcher for the first time" on Sunday.
Salami said the Guards will also test Shahab 1 and 2 medium-range missiles later on Sunday
