Many people don't see another person's bike as something precious, there are so many... Each year they dredge 800 to 900 bikes out of the canals in Amsterdam.

Too often people just throw other peoples bike in the canal. Especially from the bridges where many bikes are stalled (as you can see in the video). Each year they dredge 800 - 900 bikes out of the canals in Amsterdam.

(Thats what we do when we go out drinking and release some agression) there are 30 million bicycles and 15 million ppl in this country. older second hand city biks are often spray painted in bright or special colors.make it less attractive to steal, easier o find.

@Obba41 I used to dive off a train bridge into a river. Years after I had stopped doing that, we had a drought, and the river was low. I nearly shit myself when I saw the two diamond shaped footings that held the bridge up. They jutted out past the bridge. They would have been a meter or so under the water, normally. The water is never clear enough to see through. If I had hit one of those footings, I would not be typing this message to you.
