In your attempt at being facetious you've hit the nail on the head actually.
It's not supposed to be real. Everyone at that event is well aware that it's just for exhibition, for spectator purposes to increase interest in aikido. He goes through the motions and the moves but in essence it's all fake and prearranged at least to a large extent, in order to give the best most entertaining appearance possible with a celebrity guest.
Sort of like a Globe Trotters game or preside More..
