Buoy hoist in La Push
LA PUSH, Wash. - Coast Guard Thirteenth District members and an Army Chinook helicopter from Joint Base Lewis-McChord work together to remove an 11,800 pound navigation buoy from a beach near the Quillayute River mouth in La Push, Monday. Those Chinooks used to haul my bulldozer to fire bases when I was in Nam. Fun to ride in...but...very slow.
