Incredible Hail Storm Pounds Colorado Rally Racers (Must See)
The 6th most destructive storm in Colorado history pounds participants and staffers. Golf ball sized hail, wild lightning and thunder pummeled the landscape. Quite a sight to be seen, especially through the racers eyes as it forms.

More..it with wild weather. Tornadoes, Hail, Lightning, and Flooding welcomed us to Colorado. The 6th most destructive storm in Colorado History and #1 in Pueblo. Thanks to the fantastic staff at Pueblo Motorsports Park and their many hours of sweeping the flooded road course we were able to run the Leadfoot Grand Prix the following day
The Event:
The Leadfoot Rally is the stage where men and machines duel to be crowned the ultimate multi-motorsport champion. It’s a Decathlon of motorsports, only there are 6 events, cheap racecars and out of shape competitors.
Leadfoot Rally drivers pit their skills and determination against each other in all major forms of race car competition, with the event ending via the Clunkerball Run (a legal “Cannonball Run” type rally to Las Vegas).
The 24 Leadfoot Rally drivers or 2 man teams of drivers are an elite group of brothers brought together in the name of speed and competition.
TheThe Recession Racecars are any model, any make, any type as long as they are street legal and cost $2,500 or less. Basically they are a mismatch of hoopties, clunkers and everything in between. Half the challenge of the Leadfoot Rally is keeping your Recession Race Car together and eventually crossing the finish line in Vegas .
The race tracks are in the rocky mountain town of Pueblo, Colorado (2 hours south of Denver), with the competition finishing at the famed Las Vegas Motor Speedway. To end the Rally, all drivers will compete the Sgt. Mark A. Lawton Reverse Lap on Las Vegas Super Speedway to honor fallen soldiers.
The Leadfoot rally is more than just motorsports and squealing tires. It is fun, friendship, an experience of a lifetime and of course, one big party... and its all for a great cause. Less..
