Nasser speaking against Israel, Egyptian/Syrian training videos (with Syrian commandos eating live snakes), survival training ect.

In the weeks before the war, after Egypt got big amounts of forces into the Sinai (breaking the agrrements with the UN), and signed treaties with Jordan and Syria, talking about wiping out Israel ("There won't be any one left in Palestine" was an answer to the question 'What will be the fate of those who will be left in Palestine?") , there was great amount of fear in the Israeli public and the people in Israel were talking about the end ("The last one who leave,pls turn off the light in Lod airport" was a famous Israeli cynical line back then)-

The gov. in Israel didn't know how to react and was waiting for International pressure on Egypt. When it failed to arrive, and after long weeks of waiting, a united new gov. was established and general Moshe Dayan became the new security minister- The green line for a pre-emptive strike was given and the rest became history.


In the last year similiar talks against Israel are being heard in the "new Egypt", including calls from high ranks to cancel the peace accord (which Israel paid for by giving back to Egypt all of the Sinai). The border with Israel in Sinai became once again very hostile, after a seria of terror attacks on forces and civilians.
