Panama Canal Construction 1912
A rare look at the bottom of the Panama Canal during the construction of it. With sound. Never to be seen again once it was flooded. Considering the film is just on 97 years old I think allowances can be made for the quality in places.

As of the early 20th century, the Panama Canal had the highest price tag of any construction project in U.S. history; indeed, it was the largest commitment ever of resources in peacetime for any nation. It cost the U.S. about $ 375 M %u2014 $ 8.3 B in 2008 dollars

Yep, a single YF-22 jet cost roughly that once all the costs are calculated.
So what happened to the difference between what you could buy then and can now? It was stolen by jewish bankers through the federal reserve which is not federal and has no reserve. Here is how their racket works.
1. Cause recession and break government by over spending.
2. Get government to borrow on behalf of the citizens (which is illegal since they are taking a loan out in someone elses name)
3. make gold illegal More..

Engineering is awesome. I wonder if prayer could have resulted in such an achievement.

With environmentalist delays, it would take 150 years to accomplish it today.

We eventually turned the Panama Canal over to the Panama people, now they are in the midst of expanding it for even bigger ships.
Imagine America could have built a 4 lane wide highway all the way down the west coast through Mexico to the Baja, but Mexico refused during WW2 and to this day they suffer because of that bad decision.

Yeah, wow. After the US suported the separatists insurgents of Panama against the Colombian Gov.
Just so happened it was because they needed a canal, oh how US hasnt changed.

They werent insurgents, they were local guerilla fighters who wanted to seperate from Columbia. The people in charge of the US govt at that time helped the guerillas and in turn bought the canal zone from them afterwards, just before they cut the locals out of the deal.
Doyle1's video he just uploaded has alot of truth in it, you should watch it.

And the distiction is what precisely? Guerrillas not Insurgents?
Some in Panama wanted independance, didnt get it, so it turned to armed conflict.
The US wanted a canal as Sovereign Territory, sees an opportunity to further its interest sphere of influence as per the Monroe Doctrine, and bam the country of Panama.
In the words of Bolivar the liberator-
"The United States seems destined by Providence to plague America with misery in the name of Liberty."

Distraction? I was correcting you. Apparently the meaning of words means nothing to you as long as they are buzz words. They were not insurgents from some place else, they were locals. They wanted their independence and the US wanted a canal, so they helped eachother out. That is how politics works.
What made the US look bad is when they took the land and cut the locals out of having any say with it. The US government screwed them over, plain and simple.
All this other BS youre adding is just More..

Amazing how much they accomplished with what they had. Sad thing is while the US is forgetting about their investment in Panama Russian and Chinese are moving there in droves.
Many Panamanians have gotten a bad opinion of North Americans over the past decade.
