Pedestrian's Shoes Fly 200 Feet After Hit And Run
Police released shocking dash camera video of a pedestrian in Ferndale, Mich, who survived a hit from a car that was so powerful, it knocked him out of his shoes and launched them 200 feet.
Investigators said Rafael Hatter can be seen attempting to cross a street in Ferndale when a car speeds into the picture and hits Hatter, tossing him in the air like a rag doll.

Looks to me that he just walked out in front of a speeding car with no crosswalk or traffic signal. The car even had it's lights on. The car still should have stopped.

- It was nowhere near 200 feet, he was launched into the air no higher than about 6 or 7 feet and was hurled no more than about 40 feet, why exaggerate?

I finally have an answer to the question that has haunted me for so many years: Why is there always one shoe lying on the side of the road? It flew off of some poor souls foot when they were hit by oncoming traffic. I always knew the "garbage truck" theory was a lie!!!
