Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover
After seeing that 100 guitar riffs video I got some good ideas for some uploads. This is a great song, not my kind of style but his skills are insane. I think he's better than Steve Vai and with much more "feel".

Seen Eric Johnson in Dallas years and years ago. Was in a small bar with front a row table. He was unbelievable. He appologized after saying the sound was not right. I was shocked cause he was the best damn guitarist I had seen in person since Steve Morse and Joe Satriani.
Thanks Singlecoilsnap!

@Singlecoilsnap
Excellent...guitar player magazine got tired of giving Morse "guitar player of the year" for about 5 years in a row...lol

@robd216 That is a good way of putting it. He played what seems like every damn note. I have to say I'm pretty partial to the Stratocasters and this is just another reason why, so versatile.
Check out my channel for some good music. I think you'll dig it.

@robd216 Great player but ZERO showmanship. Might as well listen to a CD.

@Singlecoilsnap I'll check it out! My wife & kids are away for a couple of weeks. I'm about to set up my studio stuff & record a few tracks myself. I'm rusty though.

Props to technical skill. Nice sounding rig too, but ultimately not a big fan. I prefer more composition with my riffs which I think is ideally balanced in a Jeff Beck.

I have to disagree with you. This guy is fantastic, but Vai is better. Ive seen many G3's Vai, Beck, and Satriani are my Fav's for right now. That can change of course.
Johnson wrote this, but boooooy it sounds like some other music I have heard. I cant put my finger on it tonight, but it is close to someone elses.

@tat2d When they play "goin' down" it is off the hook. Have you listened to ChickenFoot, Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony bass player from Van Halen, and Chad Smith the drummer from Red Hot Chili Peppers. Joe has some cool riffs.
