Not V as in victory.
But peace, hence the Muslim fanatics and extremists always refer to their religion as the religion of peace even more so when they are militant jihadis as this is the vehicle and the means that will lead them to the utopian peace they refer about.
This is also prevalent in the western world, the idea that war is peace, is the embodiment or the very same ideological base that the Muslims extremists use, just take Islam out and there you have it.

What I said is correct, read it again, Winston Churchill's infamous "V" does stand for victory, perhaps other people in the ME use it as well but im sure they are referring to the peace they hope to achieve, regardless they will be victorious if they achieve just that.
