Li-Ion or Li-Pol batteries have a tendency to catch fire if charged incorrectly. I mean, if you put a 110v computer in a 230v socket, then it's bye bye battery. In this vid it's the battery that is burning, essentially.
In addition, heat transfer can cause this just as easily. Having your battery in your laptop while transfering files, rendering animations or whatvever over night can cause this aswell.
