Seriously, if you live in this area and have risk of such hail.... also with such accurate tracking of the hail by the weatherman... just simply go put some towels on your fucking cars ! You can do it b4 the hail comes and if it miss u, oh well ! Towels work great with pretty large hail (mostly for dent prevention). I have proven this over and over. OR just stand there with your camera and cry like a baby ! GAWD !!

Had a bigger one than usual in Idaho as well. Bought a piece of plywood and put some eye hooks on both ends to lay over the hood/window using tye down straps.
Glue some old piece of carpet on the other side to prevent scratches.
Lol, side note if you don't get it on before the storm also get a football helmet and shoulder pads to do it in the storm. I'm still waiting for the video of someone in the damn storm. Peace bro.

@dcmfox Good idea. I look for stuff when the little hail falls but we get larger hail only every 20 years or so. I've been able to drive to cover a few times too. I'd like to have some plywood that is hinged up so i can fold it small to fit in the trunk. But with mega hail taking out side window and all, what a pain and probably a lost cause just trying to cover the front. I couldn't care less about dings.
