President Bashar joining a Youth's Initiative in Damascus
Part of channel(s): Syria (current event)

Damascus 16.04.2012 - "Al-Faehaa" public hall
President Bashar Al-Assad joined the volunteers in the initiative called "People of Sham are the ones who answer the appeals".
The initiative is aimed at sending food and other supplies to the areas that suffered under the terrorist acts of the Syrian opposition.

A little comparison: Just a few days ago Burhan Galion and the other traitors in the so-called "Syrian National Council" were busy taking photos with the Zionists McCain and Lieberman, and begging like whores for a military intervention in Syria.

  • You don't have to pick a side to distribute humanitarian aid. It is a shame how the camera is always focused on him. PR stunt or bad media angle?

  • Look how Asma Al-Assad doesn't wear a scarf!

In moderate Syria such things are not required.

In a potential fundamentalist Syria scarfs at least if, not Hijab, will be required and women will lose access to education and equality in all areas.

DB.... normally you say things which make relative sense. Losing education and equality?

Education is something they won't lose. I've commented on this matter before.

Also, Men and Women have never been equal. Women will lose what has been gained by secularism would be a more appropriate argument.

The article below goes over male and female 'equality' in depth.

    • @Rayyaan What is your evidence that women will fare well under the regime that would replace the current Alawite one?

If Syria takes up a Saudi model then certainly women will lose access to education as well as being repressed with dress code or even the ability to drive a car.

True. If they did opt for the Saudi model (I like that name) however, it would certainly confirm that the rebels are not who the media claim they are (i.e ordinary Syrian's).

This is assuming an 'islamic model' would be in place and NOT a 'saudi model'.

If the Syrian resistance is Al Qaeda (which part of it clearly is) then they will have islamic rights.

If you're not muslim then you won't know the wisdom behind this but, the women will feel repressed anyway because Syrian culture (secularism) has long overtaken the role of religion in law and state.

Egypt on the otherhand is quite a religious country. Iraq is also quite a religious country but Syri More..

  • Bashar has lived his whole cowardly life with a silver spoon in his mouth, while John McCain was a pilot during the Viet Nam war and was tortured by the Vietnamese when he was their prisoner. He now advocates normalizing relations with Viet Nam.

Bashar is not even one thousandth the man the John McCain is. Every one of Bashar's appearances is heavily stage managed.

    Bashar is Khamanei's whore.
