Media Matters: Rise Of The Conservative Media

Today, Media Matters for America released a new video demonstrating how the conservative echo chamber operates in the age of President Obama. Conservative activists - aided by Fox News, a political organization disguised as a news network - use distortions, lies, and smear tactics to shape public opinion and influence national policy.
"Unlike the Clinton and Bush years, the right-wing echo chamber is now aided by a network that has thrown any remaining shred of journalistic credibility out the window, " said Eric Burns, President of Media Matters. "The modern conservative movement has gained an enormous megaphone in Fox News that they are using to impact legislation and shape public opinion."

  • This was put out by Media Matters for America? And this does not seem biased...lol. Look at the steps in the first example...death panels. Step 1-someone pointed out that there could be death panels because government would have the ability to determine treatments based on a number of reasons. Steps 2 thru ad nauseum seem to be the course of any news story that strikes an interest with the American public.

  • FOX news is no differnt than all the others, they all have their own Opinions. Come on! do you really think CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, are not slanted to the Liberal side? If anything, FOX news is 100% more entertainment & Shep Smith & Bret Baier do a excellent job reporting the real news. Why do 75% of Americans watch "FOX NEWS"??
