Several hours after three terrorists were killed by Israeli forces while preparing to launch rockets from Gaza, the IDF thwarted Thursday morning an attempt by Palestinian terrorists to plant an explosive device along the security fence separating the coastal enclave from the Jewish state.
Israeli aircraft opened fire on a terror cell that was in the process of planting a bomb near the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip. The IDF said the forces identified a hit, and the Palestinians reported that at least three people were killed.
According to the Palestinians, IDF fire towards Beit Hanoun struck a number of civilians near an agricultural college located in the eastern part of the north Gaza town.
Palestinian health official Ashraf al-Kidra told the Palestine Al-Youm news agency that three civilians sustained severe injuries during the IDF strike in Beit Hanoun. According to him, Israeli forces prevented medical teams from reaching the scene to evacuate the wounded.
A Gaza-based new agency said a number of Israeli army vehicles entered Palestinian territory early Thursday through the Abu Rida crossing east of Khan Younis and opened fire at civilian homes
