The US military is retreating from Afghanistan, they will all be gone by 2014.

Clowns like you are just thankful that the crybaby lefists in America shackle our mighty military with liberal
      ROE.
If the US still used the great ROE of the old days, the entire ME and persia would be nothing more than rubble.

arabs and muzzlumms and their weak fighting nature have nothing to do with the US's level of success in afghanistan, iraq or anywhere else.

  • I thought generals are 'senior army leaders', not sarjents.

    • @markwheatley38

      it's spelled Sergeants.

Senior leader means high ranking, which refers to enlisted personnel also.

In the enlisted ranks, usually E-8 & E-9
      constitutes "high or senior leaders".

In officer ranks, usually O-4(Major) and above means senior leader to some degree.
At O-5(Lt.Colonel) and above you start the
steps upward toward the General ranks that are so well known.

Military personnel do not have to be Generals to be considered senior leaders.

    • @shark44 Fair enough. But if you think about how many ranks are above a sargeant, then how many are below him you'd see he was far more junior than senior.

    • @markwheatley38 You have no idea what you're talking about.

    • @mk3mitch The British army ranking system goes pretty much like this;

      Field Marshal
      General
      Lieutenant General
      Brigadier
      Colonel
      Lieutenant Colonel
      Major
      Captain
      Lieutenant
      Second Lieutenant
      Regimental Sargeant Major
      Company Sargeant Major
      Staff Sargeant
      Corporal
      Lance Corporal
      Private

Now, given that American ranks can't be that different from British, I would suggest, and I'm sure you'll notice that the rank 'sargeant' is much nearer the bottom of the list than the top. Thus he is more of a More..

    • @markwheatley38 A CSM in the Army may be technically lower than a 2nd LT, but he is the 05 or 06's right hand man putting down orders to all the other enlisted guys. No one in the Army is going to call an E9 anything other than high ranking. And a fairly senior NCO? I'd say the most senior NCO you can get.

  • The WOT has been the safest war by far for the USA...More soldier die in car accidents in the USA in ONE YEAR, than have died in combat with the muslim hordes in 11 years! LOL!

Thats the cold hard facts...US troops are basically using the terrorists as training tools, and they are SAFER in combat with jihadis than they are at home driving to the movie theatre! LMFAO!

That has GOT to hurt your feelings! HAHAH!

  • Big time breach in security. The taliban are using new stategies like infiltrating the ANA/ANP to attack NATO. I wonder if something like this occurred in this incident?

  • Too bad this report is unverified. Col Mingus was NOT injured in the blast.

These 2 "trained" suicide bombers only killed 3 soldiers. Not very good odds if you ask me.

We'll find more of their "Mujahadeen" brothers in the mountains and kill them in numbers WITHOUT sacrificing ourselves. Try that Taliban. We will find you, and we will keep killing you.

  • The US military is always making excuses for their failures, they just need to admit they could not defeat the Taliban and fuck off home.
Even the American public now understands that the Afghan occupation has been a huge blunder.

  • Sad for his family but unfortuntally his death is important for the peace.

More USA soldiers killed its more steps for the peace on this world.

no, his death in that shithole is completely meaningless except to say that shithole will remain a shithole for the foreseeable future, and it is futile to try to make it any other way.
