I found this vid on utube, looking for footage of Ascot Park..

When I was a little shit, we used to go there to watch the "8" races, and hit the slik track in the go-karts...

When I grew pubes I was racing BMX at the same place...

Sadly it closed shortly thereafter, and became a business park or something shitty like that..

  • Wow that's old. So cool. I remember they used to show these races on KTLA channel 5 during the 60's when I was a little kid? J.C. Agajanian used to own that race track. Always had a big cowboy hat. Ah, Ascot Park, Roller Derby and Freddie Blassie...good times.

  • Yeah the good old days when the enthuists go out and have some good harmless fun, everyone used to experiment with their own ideas and mods and the working man cold afford to take part, then came the sponsorships and only the guys with a big budget could afford taking part. Tell me did anyone ever land up in the ducks pond?
