This place is incredible. I encourage everyone who's passing through Chicago to take the time and check em out. Yes, the fries deep fried in duck fat are as decadent and delicious as you'd imagine.

  • I like Anthony Bourdain, but I am very shocked to see him eat Foie Gras.
    Many Chef's have been against the practice and therefore wont eat it or serve it in their restaurants.

  • I grew up on the streets of Chicago, the Humboldt Park area, many MANY years ago. I can tell you that yes, Chicago has the best dogs in the world. There used to be a joint on Grand Avenue (near California St) named Freddy's Hot Dogs and they were the best I have ever had. Place disappeared in the 70's.
    They used lard for the fries. Second best hot dog I ever had was in San Louis Mexico, from a street vendor in 1966. Maybe it was because the sanitary conditions were not quite up to par down there More..

      We generally have diverging opinions on everything, But if you like a good dog, I just left a protracted comment on that 'the only way to cook a...' vid. If you want one, it's a long shot unless you are in the 'upstate' NY area or it's vacinity. I wonder if I could get some shipped to FL.

    • @ST0N3PONY Thanks, Dude. I like to try and take full advantage of my location. I make a concerted effort to try a new restaurant every week. There's always so much to chose from cause this is such a diverse city. This place is awesome but I like Weiner Circle just as much when it comes to hot dogs. You ever been to Chicago?
