Woo. Think of it, every takeoff is a one way ride. Once you hit a certain speed there is no going back. Scary stuff really. I'm sure glad the air travel regulations are as strict as they are.

P.N.O. Point of no return. All commercial jet airliners MUST use flaps when taking off loaded.
You can get away with no flaps in a lightly loaded aircraft, providing the runway is of sufficient length.
This pilot was extremely lucky.
