I would have fought the cops on this one. One of them would have known he was in a fight the next AM. I'd go before a jury any day on this one. Stand there and do nothing and let the dog die? Not my dog. No fucking way. And then I'd sue the cops and every other agency that was on the scene.

He was removed from the situation to protect his own life. I can understand his passion in wanting to save his dog,but that's what the rescue swimmers with proper equipment were there to do. Had he tried then the swimmers would have most likely been recovering his body from the bottom. I doubt he was actually arrested either. Probably put in custody until it was over.

a stressful situation to say the least, but I would have released the guy after talking to him once the rescuers showed up. The police did what they had to do to keep from having to rescue the dog and the man. But we need more understanding, fuck always going by the book. This post might be redundant but I haven't read any of the other posts.

Put your damn dog on a lease around ice and someone grab the other dog so it doesn't go in also. Poor dog suffers due to owners mistake glad it survived. At least she thanked the guy...took her for friggin ever.

@rowdylll649 I wish I had the option living in Seattle, there's no way unless your at the dog park. My Plott hound would be dead in 10 seconds or less off leash, he's too prey driven. Not too prey driven just a hunting dog trying to make it in the medium city.

@rowdylll649 Yes we have had 4 Beagles and we had a male like that. He was hard headed and wouldn't budge an inch with a lease on. Just had to keep trying in the backyard till he got used to it and reward them with kibble so they don't get fat.
