Edward Hull Crump. Charming Irish fellow. He had this cherubic face and looked like everyone's favorite grandpa. But he was also crooked and hard as nails with regard to political appointments, nominations, and legislative initiatives. It was very bad luck to do anything against his wishes. Folks who did had their pets run over, tires slashed, unaccountable vandalism to their homes and businesses, and savage muggings by unidentified strangers on the way to or from work. Cool, i enjoyed that story well told too!
You pressed so much info in there it was like a regular historychannel documentary.. Except i didnt waste 35 minuttes on commercials and constant recaps !

Freedom of the press brought down the boss from outside the state before they knew the country was going to be reading about them stealing the election locally with the local media, most likely, lock stepping to the rubber stamp.
