@-sloop- Been round. I had lost the charger to my camera. Yup, building a boat. I've had the plans for this boat since 1994. It's been a long time coming, but I feel that now is the time to build it. I have a set of plans for a bigger boat (16ft. sailboat,Phil Bolger's Micro). May begin that in the fall/winter. Boatbuilding is addictive. I'll be updating the build here in YS. Plan to be in the water fishing before the end of July. Fingers crossed.

My mate was a bit of a boat builder. He was a big canoeist and fisherman, loved the sea and all that. One day (he was about 18 -19) he said, "i'm gonna build a racing catamaran", and we're all like, "yeah ok". Within 6 months he was hauling out of his yard an exquisitely built racing catamaran. @Stiggy121212 I'm not sure, as I haven't seen him for the best part of 30 years. Last I heard he was teaching in South Africa. His whole family were the type that were extremely practical and could do just about anything with their hands.

My lawn crunches when I walk on it. The boat looks terrific so far. I've never seen June bugs as thick as they've been this last few days. Neighborhood kids and moms were freaking out at first thinking they were bees swarming.

@XyBerFuNK I know. It definitely is bad. I have better luck with fall gardens in our climate. I'll be planting that at the end of July and into August. Been so preoccupied with the boat since the beginning of June.

you do know you cant have a boat in two piece,someone will put their foot through the bottom, your never make it 100% waterproof
