NO ! !! ! .... Half-Life took the idea from the Marines. The Osprey has been in design now for over 2 decades. They have just finally perfected it for service."
naw, half-life wins this one. this is a case of "simpsons did it"."
sorry, the Osprey prototype made its maiden flight in 1989. Half-life in '98, if I'm correct.

  • Overpriced and completely unneeded. It's just slightly faster than a Ch-47, and 100 times more expensive. With a new administration coming, a troubled economy and funds drying up quick...where does our D.O.D expect to get the tax payers money to pay for these? Remember all those expensive B-1 and B-2 bombers we bought over the years? We don't even need them and they are rarely used as they are so incredibly expensive to maintain.
Osprey will wow the uneducated gung ho types but all these spacea More..

  • These things scare the crap out of me, seems like one big "hit me with an IR missle" target. Bad enough when a black hawk goes down...I just pray all the kinks have been worked out for deployment. God bless the boys who jump into those, and God bless those pilots. Oh and thanks for not blocking me like "natej740", aparently my unashamed support of the war has irked him somehow.
