I really don't understand people dissing the French about surrender, let me remind you that when UK forces first met the Germans they were thrashed and they fled and left the French allies to the mercy of the Germans (real noble). Also when American first engaged the Germans they were beat as pussies, they ran for their lives at the Kasserine Pass, the only difference was that the French could not flee because they were neighbours of Germans, while British and US were over the sea far away.

@Alesm yeh, at the start the british were beaten back, but at least we stuck to it, kept on fighting for another 3 years until the Americans joined, anyway you want another example, the brits lose over 400 soldiers in afghanistan, the americans have lost god knows how many, yet the french had 6 killed so pulled out, I dont usually generalise, but one word comes to mind, cowards.
