  • When you let money become the most important factor in a society, this is what happens.

    • @Matthewselah Its like the Roman Empire, only the wealthy control the Government and what happened... destruction within plus the so called barbarians only took advantage of the Empire's situation and that is how they lost the Empire and themselves.

  • The title of this video is wrong.

It's 2.3 million in prison . . . 7.1 million in prison, on probation, etc.

Nevertheless . . . this situation is unconscionable.

  • Call me racist...but we have more in prison over those countries mentioned becasue we have more blacks and Mexicans. So why don't countries with all blacks and Mexicans have more in prison? Because they do not try to maintain the same level of law and order.

    • @niltomega

there are more blacks in African countries and there are more Mexicans in Mexico,
yet they do not have the prison figures like we do.

truth is, we have more people in prison, because people make money of of them being there.

nice way in showing your ignorance to the center stage, the world is watching

    • @niltomega Its not about the race but the status of that prisoner before being imprisoned. Also the Questionable Justice System and Politicians. Also to blame are the people who do not vote.

States are spending more to the Corrections System rather than Education.

How about you? What are you doing about the situation of your Country? Do your part as a Citizen and start uniting and question your government's actions. Remember, its the People's Government for the People, not People Govern(Co More..

  • The LIBERALS - what is Robertson talking about. This "war" on drug use is completely conservative-driven. And the prison contractors have bought more conservative politicians than dems. True "libtards" would legalize mj and direct users of strong drugs into recovery programs - not expensive prisons. The cost of those prisons are making someone rich - not libs.

    • @Nepean109
Yeah, I caught that too. The conservatives are far more to blame for draconian punishments than the liberals.

    • @Nepean109 .. so if YOU wanted to smoke a spliff it would be legal but if i wanted a line of coke at the weekend you would prefer i go to rehab ppphhhh ( i dont do coke btw )

  • Waay back when I was a kid, I looked at the U.S.A. (rightfully) as a magical place of freedom, liberty and opportunity. Sadly, now it appears to be a police state rife with absolutely DRACONIAN laws controlled by powerful special interest groups that couldn't give a pint of piss for Joe Average.

  • What more proof do you need that we live in a police state? we have lost our freedoms.

  • So basically since prisons have actually become profitable for SOME people they will do everything in their power to make sure people go to jail awesome......[sarcasm]

    • @NakedPray

The GOP thinks war is. Solyndra cost 500 million and went belly up, boo fucking hoo. It was a 6 year expense, the wars have cost trillions and Bush (only potus in history) cut taxes and choose to put them on the credit card.
