On the 22nd of September, as one group of activists set roadblocks to
slow a neo-Nazi march, DC area Muslims held a rally against another kind
of hate: Islamophobia.

This was not a protest of a single hateful film, but rather a protest of
ALL the anti-Islamic hate that has been spreading in the US. An
insulting film is one thing, but legal campaigns against buildng mosques
are also common in the US, as are outright arson attacks on mosques.



One speaker at the rally called out the government of France for banning
these rallies after permitting the anti-Islamic film to be shown on
"free speech" grounds. That sounds like France has free speech for some
but not for all.
