KABUL, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Death toll of the suicide attacks on a bank in Nangarhar's provincial capital Jalalabad has climbed to 38 and over 70 others received injuries on Saturday, spokesman for provincial administration Zamarai Bashari said Sunday.
"In the suicide attacks against the branch of Kabul Bank in Jalalabad city on Saturday 38 people including 21 security personnel were martyred and 71 others sustained injuries," Bashari told newsmen at a press conference here.
According to Defense Ministry spokesman Zahir Azimi seven personnel of Afghan National Army were also killed in the attack against the bank in Jalalabad.
Four suicide bombers were killed during the blasts and gun battle while another suicide bomber was captured by police, Bashari further said.
"The arrested one is from Pakistan," Bashari asserted.
