More lib crap. That means that each household in the US and Europe spends about $120.00 a year on pet food. So what. They don't want us "pushing" ourselves on governments, but they want us to fix all the problems. Can't happen.

  • So? Personally I think were overpaying for education, we (US) spend more than any industrialized nation in the world and still the results are a national embarrassment. Private schools do a better job for half the money, so clearly money isn't the problem; the problem is the government is in charge of education. And to think, people want the government to be in charge of health too. Un-fking-believable

Yeah were supposed to be meals-on-wheels for the world but the minute we act in self-interest, all the sudden were an evil and corrupt bunch of SOB's.

I didn't see a reference to where the numbers came up. The video is clearly aimed at spinning the reality about Americans and Capitalism.

Also, I don't see any references or mention of how much money America gives in donations through government or through private organizations each year. That number alone should put shame on the EU and many other industrialized nations!

  • Cost for the entire world to achieve basic health and nutrition 13 billion? That's $1.97 per person, per year.
Cost of clean water for the whole world 9 billion? That's $1.36 per person, per year.
Basic education for the worlds children? 6 billion. That's 91¢ per person, per year.
If you actually thought for a moment about what your hearing, instead of just letting your brain absorb it, you'd realize how obviously stupid these numbers are.
FYI the total cost of the bailout is in the trillions not 700 billion.

  • In 2007, the USofA gave nearly 1 trillion dollars through various aid sources (government, charity, religious).

Did it fix the world? NO!

  • Proof that capitalism works! Where is the number that the US gives more to help nations around the world in crisis than all the countries combined?

    Liberal crap as usual.

  • I don't know how you figured your costs, but it sure is something to think about. We sure do waste a lot of money for shit that is worse than useless, but we (western hemisphere) are not alone in doing so. I am slightly surprised at the vitriol of the comments so far, methinks they protest too much!?
