My old country, had to leave there at 7yrs old because the religion was going to kill my mixed religion parents..True...
Left there in the mid of night after the house was attacked and we were told they were going to burn us out. I left in my pj's running as fast as I could with my parents.
Never been back..

@mclane Genuinely sorry to hear the experiences you had. I have a brother living up North and he says the line is still drawn heavily in the sand between the two communities. He made, what he thought, was a friend at work and the brother asked him to go out for a pint. His reply was "Look we can all be friends here but I can't walk into your pubs and you can't walk into mine, so let's leave it at that". Sad but true.
