Remember the days before christmas 1990 in Melbourne, a hailstorm with hailstones as big as golfballs. Damaged buildings and destroyed cars, think some old guy died. A city with some wierd climate.

Here in the UK, the size of hail is no larger than an average pea. I'm told in some parts of the world they can be the sizes of golf balls, or on some rare occassions basket balls? Is that true?

That's like a normal thunderstorm in Houston. The storms here are incredible in the spring and fall. Strong winds, lot's of hail and lightning.
