Tom Smith Rape Gaffe: Similar To Having Baby Out Of Wedlock

Another Republican Senate candidate made controversial comments Monday
on rape and pregnancy, which can almost directly be attributed to the
Todd Akin fallout in Missouri.
Tom Smith, the Republican candidate
running against incumbent Sen. Bob Casey in Pennsylvania, compared
having a child out of wedlock to rape when explaining his explicitly
pro-life views.

    • @leakinghole sooner or later real republicans like yourself are going to have to take one step backward in order to take two steps forward and either vote democrat or not vote at all. that is the only way the republican party is going to start producing viable candidates - by getting the message that their party is being taken over by nut jobs and that sane republicans aren't going to stand for it anymore.

    • @leakinghole I am a registered republican. Agree with idea Republican party NEEDS to change. See current party as representatives of corporations/lobbies and the FAR right who want to take freedoms/choices away from the public. Believe the ideas of small government, freedom of choice, balanced "safety net" have been lost. The actions the RNC have done to Ron Paul demonstrate how corrupt and NASTY the republicans have become. Believers of freedom for the people by the people shouldn' More..

  • Well, this is what republicans stand for. Romney does, Ryan does, Akin does. So where is the scandal? You want to vote for them: this is what you get. This is not new or was never hidden, just not perceived.

If you do not like it, vote for somebody else. This is what I would do :-).

Yeah, i know what comes now: " Shut up, Kraut, you fuckin Nazicunt..". I am waiting for it and I enjoy it so, you can't imagine!
