Tallmadge Armed Robbery Caught On Tape

Ohio - Tallmadge police and Summit County Crimestoppers are offering a reward of up to $2,000 to catch a man who robbed a Gordon Food Service store.

Surveillance video captured the crime, which took place on Oct. 20th at the GFS store on West Avenue.

Police gave the following account of the crime:

The masked man entered the store and drew a handgun. He told the cashiers to give him money from the registers. As he was taking money from the registers, the manager walked past and the suspect told him to open the safe. The manager refused, walked to the office and locked the suspect out. The manager then pushed the panic alarm and called 911. The suspect left out the front door.

Police are hoping that someone will recognize the gunman's distinctive clothing that can be seen in the video.

If you have any information, call Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS.
