  • The big difference between China and the US and their military expenditures is China uses some of the interest we pay on the money we have borrowed from them to buy their gear.

We borrow 30-40% of the money we need for our military from creditors.

At this rate we can finance China's entire military with just the interest payments.

  • "Pakistani Empire" - LOL! I guess if you call a bunch of cave-dwelling, woman-fearing, goat-fuckers who are still looking forward to the turn of the 8th Centry, an "Empire"... LOL!

The "Empire" stops where India tells it to.

  • of the US 700 billion 1/2 went into the pockets of Haliburton and Bush JR pockets....

  • Uploaded by "Pakistani_empire". I question the motive and the accuracy of the data.

India just concluded the world's single largest arms deal with the EU to purchase 118 Rafael combat air craft, with Russia for over 46 Su 30 MKI and USA for numerous transport airplanes.

It is # 3. Where as this video shows India at #8. The net worth of just one of the above deals was above 112 billion, so it does not make sense that the total annual spending of India is $46 billion.

    Another piece of More..

That's because everybody else has to produce goods and sell them to the rest of the world so they can buy US dollars so they can spend them in military hardware, #1 only has to keep the printing press working 24/7.

    • @soilentgreene
how in the world could you suspect that the entire rest of the world would gang up and attack us?
that's not caution, it's paranoia...BUT that is fed by politicians who are puppets of the military industrial complex, indeed they are the propaganda and funding arm.

    • @jen8933 Its the military industrial complex, the US privatised so much of its arms procurement during the Cold War that its defense contractors and the millions they employ became an inalienable part of the US economy and politics.

America has been on a constant war footing for 60 years because a significant part of its manufacturing and jobs market would collapse if it reverted to peacetime mode like the rest of us.

But this cycle is ultimately unsustainable and if US politicians cannot bait More..

  • That's a lot of retirement pay and benefits also. I wonder how the other countries stack up in that part of their war department expenditures per serviceman

    • @komet America is afraid of it's downfall, so it's trying the typical empire that sees itself falling tactic - build a huge military. America has luck on it's side that it's the 21st century, and money does win power.
