    "Free to Choose" should be required reading in our public school system. We as a nation have forgotten to pass on the meaning of "freedom" and "liberty" to the individual. This is something THIS country has promoted (and prospered because of it) while other's believe in control and central planning.

  • This whole argument is based on a false premise. Also, it doesn't address the fact that its the right-wing who engage in massive expansion of government when they are in power.

    By the way, slightly off topic, Mitt stated last Sunday on Meet the Press that he does not intend to take away 'ObamaCare' just the parts that pay for it thereby increasing the debt. Clearly, he is only pandering to the right assuming that they won't watch any programs on MSNBC.

  • Larry would be splitting wood and digging ditches if big government didn't enforce civil rights. Good luck convincing us that those business owners and cops in the south would respond to the free market.     • @edfmaniac Burning cross' in the front yard was a good thing to fight against, making a diner serve blacks, or anyone else is not. Public facilities belong to everyone, private ones do not. Are blacks better off today concerning crime, murder, and unwed mothers? If you listened to the thoughts expressed you would have seen that they said government is there to protect physical harm, but not someone's right not to be offended.
