Two HR headhunters offer Jobs to Occupy Washington D.C.
Part of channel(s): Occupy Wall Street (current event)

Listen to all the excuses these people have not to work! How can anyone expect to be successful when they make excuses for themselves.

My personal favorite was the 'Bamboo Guy'. He thinks we should grow bamboo on top of every building and then hire someone to 'manage' the bamboo because it's good for the birds.... it's probably a good idea if he does not apply for anything with responsibility.

  • It demonstrates just what idiots the protesters are.

  • Of course it's a setup. Of course it's intended to discredit the movement. And it does a good job of that. I'm sorry if you disagree. People need to learn they should be happy about having ANY job and stop being so spoiled.

  • What is wrong with those people?
When you get a job what do you have to do? Work. what happens when you do good work, Show up on time, do your job and be a good employee? you get a raise. work harder, get a higher raise. opportunities open for you, now your marketable, find a better job with better pay. Work hard, prove yourself, get ANOTHER RAISE.

you cant go into a job expecting $15 an hour when they dont even know you. you have to prove that you are a good investment inorder to recieve hi More..

  • to me, this was never really about the jobs, or the headhunters.
So, I don't care if the jobs were real, or, if they were real headhunters.

this was all about the reaction of the protesters.

their reactions, and statements spoke volumes about their character.

My first job; I did not care what I did.

  • Working defeats the purpose of getting the free handouts they're after

    Posted Nov-3-2011 By

  • If OWS successfully changed 'the system', these people still wouldn't want to work in the new 'system', they would still only want a handout.

  • Many of you are missing the point of this video.
The Job applications are real. Only two were filled out.

    Everyone else had an excuse.
The HR 'actors' know they are being filmed. The video is desgined to show protesters responses to job application offers to over dozens of companies.

I don't have to make videos that make protesters look bad, the protesters make the protesters look bad.

    • @Flashovr EXACTLY!!!! I was thining of doing the same thing in Ottawa...where can i go to represent companies and hand out job applicatations

      Posted Nov-3-2011 By

      (2)

    • @Noalias you can get the applications from internet or if you know someone who works in HR, get it from them.

BE VERY CAREFUL! You, me, anyone could be sued for Identity Theft or Fraud.

  • Pretty amazing isn't it? No wonder the gap is getting larger, smart people are working harder while these type of people want to do less.

    • @D473N .. So you agree nothing's wrong with the system. 'Nothing to see here...'

    • @nghtrsnl I believe in taking accountability for your own choices. I know way too many people that make 6-7 Figures from hard work that the 'system' never once got in their way. I know guys who make way more than 200k a year and now work maybe 1-6 hours a day. Why? Because they put the sweat and blood to get where they are. Guys who grinded their younger years of working reg crap jobs, losing THOUSANDS of dollars from trial and error. Eventually accomplishing their personal goals and were reward More..

Good points. But, how do you convince some kid working at walmart for min wage, that if you work hard, you'll get what your buddies now earn. Those days are gone.

    • @no2cents How are those days gone? Are you saying it's impossible to make anything from nothing now?

  • democrat leftist scum baggers dont want jobs...they want handouts, they want the working man to pay for them.

democrat voters are parasites, they should be rounded up, beaten, humiliated, and then tossed off the golden gate bridge to feed the sharks.

    • @Fullon Tard You have no idea what is wrong. Just place blame on liberals? Please. This isn't a left/right issue buddy.

    • @Fullon Tard If money was free I would want free money but the world does not work that way...

    • @nghtrsnl

This is all all about left vs right. It's all about expanding centralized control and redistribution vs limited government and individual economic liberty.

    • @vicsemprini Maybe for you. It is what you make of it. You're looking for those reasons aren't you? If that is the battle you choose to fight, so be it.
That's what they want you to believe is the issue. If you really knew the issue, you would be fighting a completely different monster.

  • Mark 3:18 protester says " I'm not a big fan of anyone in the system". But yet he relies soley on the "system" for his excistance. These fuktards are laughable.

  • While the video (complete with hidden microphones) is clearly set up, most of the protesters aren't interested in a job. They want to bring down capitalism...
(I’ll say it again) the economic expression of liberty.
Of what use is a job, when money becomes meaningless?
Of course, that means that all the cool devices quit working and all the food disappears.
That stuff won’t just magically continue, but not one protester has thought that far ahead.
    Neither can you r More..

    • @Richio We are all a product of monoculture. This is the negation of liberty. Capitalism can go on when we attach different meaning to the agreements behind money. As it stands, the debt bearing nature of money does us no good, and hinders liberty. Think beyond. This is not a left/right.. communist/capitalist issue. It really isn't. It all boils down the the agreements associated with and the very nature of money.. and it has been on the forefront of many people's minds for 2,000 years or so.
      Ne More..

Utopian visions always end with blood on the ground.
The future can be perceived by looking at the past.
Know history. Stop thinking that things will be different THIS time.

    • @Richio lol. I know history. Well. In most cases, you are true. But we are only a change in perception away! It won't take violence.
Think, 'Intervention' and the user's world comes crashing in.. When the world is truly experiencing a 'crisis'.. and a nasty violent one at that.. which is what we've been experiencing (just because you don't see violence on our soil..) due predominantly to the current perception of 'infinite growth' economics- the rational answers will be obvious.
      As a civilisatio More..

    • @nghtrsnl
A recognized that you were speaking about “a change in perception” – even a paradigm shift.
Which is why I brought up ST, where/when currency is a thing of the past, because we’ve transcended past such ‘mundane things’. THAT expectation is adolescent.
In one sentence you say that violence isn’t necessary, and yet you observe that the world is now caught up in violence.
"Greece" is coming here and is already starting in Oakland.

The problem we face will not go More..

    • @Richio As a fellow libertarian, I agree in your comment about limited gov't.
The reason we're caught up in violence, over a number of issues (economic/ecologic/societal/etc.) is due to the nature of money. That is all I'm saying.
Once we've had enough, more violence won't be necessary when we implement rational decisions. You are stating fundamental systemic change will cause more violence, and it will not be the remedy. I disagree.
