70 Year Old Man Evicted by Force in Ireland

Old fella owed money to Anglo Irish Bank, now internationally accepted as one of the most corrupt banks in existence. They come a-knocking with the aid of the Gardaí (police). Kicks off at 3:30

Expect a whole lot more scenes like this playing out across Ireland (and Europe) through 2012 and beyond.

The banks are coming.

  • First there is no information about the people being evicted. However, if you owe money, you are responsible to pay it back. If everyone can get away from paying their debt, our society is over as we know it.

It's sad to see people getting kicked out from their homes.

This is just a small taste of what happened to the Palestinians during the 1940s. Plenty of villages, towns, were "evicted" by the Zionist Jews.

I feel for these people, the banks are the same. Blood thirsty fucking twats.

    • @mphatik Agreed. To be forced from your home kind of reminds you of Nazi Germany, 70 years ago. And don't get me started on the banks, and the corporations.

    • @DEMON_IN_THE_BABYPHONE Yep. To do that to a seventy year old man, just goes to show that they have no honour. Or mercy.

  • Do some research people. This guy had a PROPERTY PORTFOLIO!!!

He lived in a multi-million euro home and enjoyed the high life. He got too greedy, borrowed too much and inevitable overstretched himself.......

Save your anger, your disgust, your sympathy and prayers for the single home families who are in a much worse position then these guys

    • @jkeen03 Yep, he had a portfolio with 21 high end houses in it. He borrowed €3 million in 2004 on the house he was evicted from. His repayments over 17 years were €14,000 a month and he hasn't paid one payment in the past 3 years. The bank took proceedings against him in 2010 and he wouldn't cough up or negotiate. So he's a greedy fool living in a tent to garner sympathy whilst he could be living in one of his other 21 homes. Any sympathy he had is gone with the house.

  • First let me say I hate what the banking industry has evolved into in the last 30 years.

Having said that I would have to know the personal history of the man being evicted before I commit any empathy to him. I know only two things first he's a male and second, he's being evicted. For all I know he may be a vise-president in the loan department at a bank himself.

Should bank executives be held personally accountable (including jail time) for their bad investments? Damn right they should!

  • Things are only going to get worse, governments and banks will be acquiring farms and houses, the intention has always been to acquire private property.

  • So what is the bank supposed to do?...eat it? If people cannot make their mortgage then banks won't loan money then NO ONE can buy a house.

    • @niltomega

The money the bank loaned him was created out of nothing the moment his loan request was accepted. Watch 'Money as Debt' on YT for more info.

    • @niltomega The anglo irish bank already "ate it". so to speak. Its an insolvant bank and that's even according to the fing IMF.
"debt incumbent home owners don't go on strike".

Which is how it works. Regardless, if he makes his payment, they cannot legally take his home.
