  • A large majority of cops hate Vets. I have lots of friends who have served and get treated like shit by cops for simple traffic stops. Im guessing its some kind of envy.

    • @BloodyPeasant True, but I like to think that its all local tax that covers it. More than him winning a settlement, Id like to see a felony conviction of the head guy in charge. That would at least strip him for life of law enforcement, 2A rights and his tax paid pension.

  • I got depressed and overwhelmed once while caring for my dying Father with dementia and called a suicide hot line just to talk to someone about it.
    The person I was talking to was not being helpful at all and I ended up hanging up on him.
    Within half an hour there were cops at the door.
    Now, I understand that would be a difficult job and they might feel better erring on the side of caution but I never threatened suicide or anything and it doesn't sound like this guy did either.
