  • Visited a couple of military cemeteries in Normandy back around the 50th anniversary of D-Day. Sure does take your breath away. First headstone I looked at was of a 17 year old who had died on 6th June 1944. I'm not ashamed to say I cried for the first time in a long time. God bless them all.

  • My Grandpa was tank commander. I remember visiting him as he was passing, another man that had served WW2 in the room grabbed my wrist and began reciting Flanders fields. Both passed away later that week, was very surreal and really changed me as a person.

    Never forget

    • @Epsimrove I'll be lucky to be 5% the man he was. I remember him dieing in the hospital. You would ask him how he is doing, "Oh just fine can't complain"......damn.....

    • @Epsimrove Completely how it is.
No one will forget, as long as they are remembered. Trust me, we will.

  • I visited this cemetery a couple years ago. It was very humbling.

    They were mainly young soldiers.
