Tuesday August 28 2007
A suicide bomber has killed three NATO soldiers and wounded six others in an attack in eastern Afghanistan today.
The victims were targeted while working on a bridge construction project in Paktia province.
NATO has not disclosed the nationalities of the dead soldiers, but Afghan officials say they were Americans.
Meanwhile, Taliban militants have agreed to free the 19 South Korean church volunteers they have been holding hostage for more than a month.
The moves comes after the South Korean authorities agreed to end all missionary work in Afghanistan and withdraw their troops from the country by the end of this year.
