@dontcomplain @Enzaim sorry guys, but you are wrong. He isn't secular at all. Also would you like an enemy in disguise? Or an enemy that is well defined?

@ML83 ur talking about israeli security issue. thats ur concern. not the concern of the poor syrians who are dying. to them, even if he was in disguise, as u put it, it could still be a good thing, because he protected the society as a whole...
i can understand, that because u are by far stronger in military and economy and political ties, u would love to have a well defined "enemy" to pound on him as u do best, but again, thats ur preference, not that of syrians. were not here for ur More..

Only one thing is for sure in this conflict ... Ordinary Syrians are suffering and dying - and they are the ones who'll pay the final bill ...
Sad and fukked up world ...

@wrano I would bet that a large number of those ordinary civilians are fighting too.there is no way the Assad regime would have to destroy whole city's just to oust a few terrorists .its a popular uprising in my opinion

@markymark69
Though ... we could argue that Assad would have fallen long ago if the such majority of people was against him ... Remember Romania and Ceausescu.
This drags on for 17 (18 almost) months now (open armed conflict is taking place for more than a year).
But future will tell ...

@wormhole no u asshole. i like the REALITY of life, which we all unfortunately have to face.
and yes, i would prefer a dictator, PROUDLY, any day, over colonial rule or scum terrorist that one will use to divide an conquer.

@dontcomplain And even better, secular dictator ruling over fanatics. Nothing justifies dictatorship more.
And in Syria there even isn't dictatorship, authoritian government for sure, but dictatorship? Oh please.

@AwesomeCunt ya i agree. but to be honest, i would still call it a dictatorship in a sense.
but honestly, its hard to have a democracy in a muslim country. turkey has done it because they have a seperation of church and state tnx to ataturk. but otherwise i think its a challenge.

@dontcomplain Yes, that's correct. But rulers of Turkey these days want to rid Turkey off of secularity. And Turkeys secularity was never implemented by democratic means, it was put in place by Ataturks cunning and wise political moves.
