What's the hype about sex?
It should not be about sex, it should be about VIOLENCE!!!
It's a bad habit to make a victim out of someone who had sex voluntarily.
It's natural for parents to have an urge to lock up their kids and protect them from all possible troubles, but kids need to go through trial and error to develop.
Also children accept everything at face value.
If you are digging into them to know, if they had anything inappropriate, they will certainly tell you yes, just to please you More..

the Internet is actually causing it, if you think about it
prior to that the social constraints were stronger. the Web decreased that gap by exposing kids to anything and everything they're curious about
naturally since "sex" is the most hot-button issue in nearly every society kids are drawn to it more. make a big deal out of it, try to keep kids away or ignorant of it, and they'll swarm around it
just like gambling, drugs, or anything else
