Dodging the Column 1952
something different .. Dodging the Column a BTF classic (aren't they all!)
moving a 130 ft long distillation tower 500 miles from Greenwich to the Forth Chemical Works at Grangemouth long before the introduction of motorways and by-passes using 2 chain drive Scammell`s and solid tyred bogies.
Some dodgy health & safety issues by todays standards - like crawling under moving trailers and hands infront of moving wheels!
Very nostalgic road and town/city scenes & commentary.
presses all the right buttons ..

What type of motorcycle is that one at 03:28, considering that is Britain, is probably a Norton. But what exact model. Looks great.

not too sure Js, I thought it was a BSA, they used to be the traditional police bikes besides the Vellocet which was a strange machine!
